‘’ Beauty is unbearable, drives us to despair, offering us for a minute the glimpse of an eternity that we should like to stretch out over the whole of time’

-Albert Camus

The journey of an artist often begins with simple tools, and for me, that was a pencil and brown grocery bags. One of brothers brought home powdered paints for me to try & I was blown away. In school, my favorite classes were the arts & natural science. Giant creatures with spikes & 3’ claws, 30’ wingspans soaring above, sharks with 10’ wide jaws. How can a girl not fall in love with beauties like that?! Some weirdos may not like dinosaurs but their skulls are proof of how bad ass they were. Those wonderous claw/talon features live in today’s birds. One kick from a cassowary can open you up & spill your guts no different than from a velociraptor. Pretty damn cool. Learning about the dangerous creatures of today has been a fun journey, as has experimenting with new materials to show them off. Palette knives, crackling mediums, pours…I still get blown away with all this fun stuff.
